At a sandbar in the middle of the sea.. I saw these two kids gathering sea urchins and shells and sea cucumbers and snakes for their family dinner. I ate some raw sea urchin too.. it's supposed to be a delicacy. But can't say I liked it... It took too much effort to open and pick at the 'meat' that was too miniscule. Ok, it tasted a bit like sea. And if you're wondering why the sandbar had seaweeds.. that's because the tide was coming back in.

I like the 'tone' (Is that the right word?) of your photos. I like this portrait shot of brother and sister (?). Kinda nostalgic.
Salty, huh? So I wouldn't need to wonder what sea urchin tastes like hehehe But I'll try it when I do get the chance.
I love this photograph. The girl has that innocent smile and look in her eyes. And the boy hesitantly smiles for the photograph. It must have been a hard day and they're to have something they themselves gather, something very usual, for dinner and yet they are still feeling good. I love the positive energy this image brings.
Btw, I was reading a while ago about the valiant Pulahanes and other century old stories of the Samar-Leyte scene of the War. I was really impressed with the locals and remembered this blog.
