Kite-flying

Kite flying at Tolosa Beach. The nearest place to Tacloban where you can do kite flying without it snagging on a wire or coconut. This one had a bad ending though, the wind was so strong that the thread snapped and the kite was flown far away up into a mountain. Since the kite was expensive (haha), we hired two local boys to retrieve it.

Sto Nino Church

I posted the tower bell of St. Nino Church a long time ago, this is the side of the church, which I took from the second floor of a coffee shop.

Ocho

Where we bring our visitors to eat semi-frozen 'fresh' seafood. I'm very picky, fresh for me is freshly caught, the fish still squirming from shock. The cooking in this restaurant is good though.

Their wide choice of seafoods. (Taking photos of the seafood display is prohibited.. dunno why.)

Millennium Tower

The 3-story Millennium Tower at Palo. Could never figure this one out.. from the name (tower) to its function (too low to be a tower). This was built with people's donations to the Catholic Church.

Mt. Danglay

Not an easy mountain to climb. It's supposed to be an enchanted mountain. It's also where the legend of Tacloban happened. You know, giants fighting.. syokoys, mermaids, fishermen..

To Tacloban

This is what driving is like in Tacloban. Semi-empty roads at all times of the day. Of course, this is not the downtown area.

Roadside view

In the afternoons when everyone is still busy at work, it's peaceful to stop by this road, buy some buko and watch this view. This is near the McArthur Park.

Bangon river

This is an outflow of Palo's bangon river. This is full of untouched mangroves, the water is still and wide, just right for kayaking. So how come no one has done that yet??

I'm on travel so no comments and replies from me in the meantime. However, thanks to Blogger's pre-scheduled posting feature, I've posted 2 months' worth of photos hahaha. Yeah.. OC.
